After receiving the Sussex Hockey Association Fairplay Award the Lewes side went on to play a tightly contested game against Barnes 2nd team. Barnes pressed the Lewes side into the corners of the pitch and made some great attacks in their play. Lewes started the first half well, dominating possession with excellent patterns of play shown by all. At half time it felt only a matter of time before a goal would come but the second half proceeded to be quite scrappy on both sides making for a game with high turnover for both teams.

No goals were scored during this match but the work ethic was brilliant from the Lewes side and as ever they supported each other as a team. They will use this as a game to build on going into their game away at Tulse Hill and Dulwich next weekend.
