The best team performance of the season saw Lewes playing simple passing hockey supported by a high energy pressing game which kept Crowborough under pressure for nearly the whole match. Wave after wave of moves brought saves, blocked shots and good saves from the very competent Crowborough keeper. Hugh opened the scoring and then 2 further goals from Ben and Abraham - who put in his best performance of the season led to Lewes turning around at 4 -0 the second half continued in the same vain with Ben completing his hat trick and Jago adding 2 also unlucky not to have score 3 also and man of the match Ollie Amos scoring a rasping shot.
Stan Hughes had little to do in goal and was let down at the end as Lewes lost their shape after a number of substitutes. A heartening and entertaining performance which kept the crowd engaged between the heavy downpours.
