A 4-1 win over Brighton didn't really do justice to the U16's supremacy in this local derby

Another opportunists goal from Hugh Porter set the lions on course for victory in this local derby. The lions welcome Stan Hughes making his debut in goal for the U16s and he played solidly beaten by a well taken shot through a crowed D in the second half by which time Lewes were 3-0 up. Drew Wain added the second following great approach play by Ollie Loader playing his first game in centre midfield. The defence played solidly with Ollie Ingham playing his best game of the season and Charlie Cooke displaying his great reading of the game. Leon and Tobt Izzard and Toby Hutchinson also put in solid performances.

Jamie Cooke returning from injury surprised Brighton from the bench with his direct running and added a well deserved goal to put lewes 3-0 up. He set up up Jago Hussain who picked up his rasping cross with a deft deflection to seal the game.
