Lewes Lionesses through to the FINALS

Our Lionesses are through to the League Finals of 2022. With a bit of a slow start vs Brighton, we stepped up and played a brilliant second match vs Priory Bedes, with a super result of 3-1. It was a tense match and all the girls had to show how far they have come and what a fantastic hockey players they have become. Flo lead the way with a goal in the first match and the first goal of the second one. We were ahead, but soon Priory broke through and scored! But we showed that we deserved to be winners and the whole team rose to the challenge. We concentrated, got eager and Lucy, Liv, Isla and Hazel made sure we had a rocksteady defence. Isobel defended our goal amangly and Erin, Sienna, Nina and Meghan connected through midfield. Resulting in a second goal by Meghan. The match got tense, umpires had to step up, parents were shouting and the Lionesses kept their cool! Flo, Jess, Ruby and Pippa were alert at the front and Ruby scored the third goal. Of course the Lionesses are much more than just these 13 girls. So credit to all the others, without all of the girls we would not have gotten this far.
