Lewes 4’s faced a strong and well-drilled East Grinstead team, who very quickly took a tight grip on the game. By half time Lewes were 4 goals down, and finding the going tough. However, in the second half Tilly Loughton and Gabby Gallagher led a fight back that showed great resolve. New players who have joined the team from the Lionesses all acquitted themselves well, and the scoreline did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the team; and the confidence that exists in their ability to grow and succeed as the season progresses. A really encouraging start.
