Late equaliser denies Lewes 3 points

The game started well with strong attack from Captain Zoe Richards who scored an early goal in the 8th minute. This was followed by some great runs from Rhiannon Burgess and Sue Story. The ball was distributed well by Flooz Heinzl who helped to move the game up the pitch. Julia Cunningham stopped Horsham from getting chances on goal by making some great tackles. Defence were strong and girl of the game Dionne Gooding made an abundance of excellent saves.

However, despite hanging on to 1-0 until the last minutes Lewes couldn’t prevail and Horsham equalised in the last few seconds making it a 1-1 draw. Overall, a good performance from the whole team and another point to keep them top of the table!
