After some orange to white to pink ball changes within the first ten minutes the game settled in. With the Lewes ladies blend of youth and experience playing some decent hockey and fighting well until a slick move by Horsham saw Lewes down 0-1 at the end of the first half.
In the second half sadly losing Nipps to injury, Flooze marshalled defence with aplomb but Hailsham scored a scrappy second.
It may not have been a win on paper, but it felt as good as one following last weeks game and only 2 goals down to far and away the best team in our league.
Captain Mould awarded two players of the match for playing up a level from their normal game Hep (primarily for her willingness to don the kickers at short notice) and Darcey.
