Ladies 4s lose their tenth league game by ten goals

Ten is the magic number. Well it is if your name is Pelé, Messi or Zidane - or if you play hockey for Brighton.

The tenacious opposition were imposing right from the start, leaving Lewes little room for manoeuvre as they created wave after wave of chances. The Lewes Ladies found themselves hangin’ ten as they tentatively tried to win the ball and push it forwards. Indeed, they had a few chances in the second half but eight out of ten cats said they preferred red and blue.

Goals were ten a penny as Brighton took turns to add their names to the score sheet. And if 10 men Lewes were the metaphorical green bottles then the last was about to fall.

Ten out of ten to Brighton for out-playing Lewes and being jolly good sports about it.
