It’s beginning to look a lot like hockey

The ladies 4s played their last game before Christmas and what a cracker it was. The defence had learned from the previous week and held off the opposition better, to make it only 3-0 to the visitors at half time. Both Lewes’ goals came in the second half with the first created by Sara Leatherland dribbling and then crossing into the D for Iris ‘found my Mojo’ Jackson to smash into the back of the goal. The second started with a break from the back, then Mary Harley drove the ball from outside the D to set up Jackson for a text book finish. There were promising first appearances from Sarah Strachan and Labiella Gooding and a welcome cameo role from Becky Wycherley.
