Leading 1 - 0 at half time, with a makeshift team, Lewes ladies 3's looked as though an upset was on the cards. However Southwick regrouped at half time and came out stronger and more physical than the young and inexperienced Lewes team. Lewes lost shape and confidence. Southwick pounced, had some luck with a foot that was missed and scored past Kerry Fitzpatrick - the stand in goal keeper. Lewes are third from bottom having conceded less goals than those below them. They are almost there but need to toughen up in a league where there will be no easy games.
