Having expected to meet strong opposition in Bognor Ladies, it came as a surprise to Lewes to find themselves the dominant side from the whistle. 

By the end of the first half Lewes were well ahead with three goals from Helen Fuller, and one each from Sara Riley, Calysta Lee, Daisy Blewitt and Naomi Blackwell.

The second half offered the opportunity to focus on playing high quality hockey rather than extending the goal tally, and Lewes took away a new confidence along with the three points.
