FIXTURE: SLL Prem Div
HOME TEAM: Lewes Ladies 2s 1 (Hersey)
AWAY TEAM: Crawley Ladies 1's 0
The ladies 2s really needed to secure 3 points to halt a bad run. However, their opposition, Crawley, were also in desperate need for points, so were going to put up a good fight, despite only having 9 players.
Lewes dominated the game, but Crawley packed their D and stopped all crosses and potential goal scoring opportunities.
Lewes continued to press, but despite all their efforts, only managed to put one goal past the posts: Meg Hersey dribbled the ball around most of the Crawley defence to do a reverse stick flick into the bottom left hand corner.
But one goal is all it needed to grab the much needed and deserved 3 points.
The team have a very full week ahead with a Tuesday evening game and a double header at the weekend to, hopefully, secure a few more points!
