Lewes travelled to Burnt Ash for the first round of the EHA trophy. Lewes were a little light on on first team players but had filled the side with some hard working 2s players. From the first whistle the Lewes ladies took it to the home side and within the first 10mins showed them what they could do. Winning many short corners Lewes converted 2 well worked goals from Laura Molloy and Anna Hilton. Not content with a 2-0 lead after half time, Lewes besieged the opposition’s goal and a barrage of shots saw midfielder Marie Spence pick up a rebound and under cut a shot into the net. Burnt Ash attempted a come back and won a few short corners but it was nothing that the Lewes defence couldn't handle. Anna Hilton converted a final short corner resulting in the 4-0 win and a place in the next round of the trophy.
