Pewter unable to relight the fire

Another week, another defeat for Lewes Men’s 2s last Saturday, this time away at Sevenoaks, despite Lottie Pewter back for good between the sticks.
The men in green were once again unable to shine in the first half going in 2-0 down at the break. Improved patience at the start of the second half led to Mark “Owen” Best ghosting in to claim an away goal but the flood gates sadly did not open. Sevenoaks doubled their lead in the dying minutes to give the visitors far from their greatest day and one they would never forget, leaving them to mull over a million love songs and more on their way home.
