Lewes never got into their stride in the first half and defensive frailties were seized upon by the skilful home forwards who were quickly 3-0 up. A powerful cross from Sean Rowlands was deflected into the Worthing goal by their goalkeeper but it was no more than a consolation as Worthing made it 4-1 just on half time despite some brave saves by goalkeeper Chris Sharpe. Whilst Lewes improved in the second half they were unable to capitalise on their chances and will have to improve on this performance.
