Leopards win, Lynxes defeated

We had our first home game today. Both teams were charged up and eager to play. The Leopards were up first against Brighton&Hove's only U10G team, beating them 5-1. Some good skills were demonstrated but also some lessons were learnt in positioning and marking your opponents. Well done on another win. Final score: BH 1 - 5 Lewes Leopards.

The Lynxes were all on the pitch today, showing some great commitment but unfortunately couldn't keep possession of the ball and missed some key opportunities to drive the ball up the sides. Some solid performances from individual players, we now need to work more as a team to move the ball up the pitch. Well done to Emilia (first time in goal) who saved more than went in, and Tess who stuck to her job of clearing the ball. Nicely played. Final score: BH 5 - 0 Lewes Lynxes.

Well done to all the girls for their hard work today - we have identified some key areas to work on for next week, not to mention time to practice short corners!

Thanks to the umpires, parents and carers for their support, and to Cafe Lazzati for the delicious match tea.
