Great Results of U12 Boys in Brighton

A great day to be finally out again. It was lovely to see everybody back on the pitch at training. The team that went the Brighton afterwards was super lucky. Perfect weather, great opponents and lovely hockey play.

We are very proud to say that we beat East-Grinstead1 and Brighton. We drew against Eastbourne due to an unfortunate last-minute goal from Eastbourne, which was at the same time a great learning curve as we need to make sure we play to the whistle, don't react before the umpires do and keep super concentrated till the end. EG 2 was just too strong for us, but we only conceded 1 goal and we were still a bit hyper after our win over EG 1 that we lost track a little, next time we will easily beat them.

Great goals from Diggory, Ed, Marrick and Wilfie. Super defending from Rupert, Hugo, Alex and Caspar. Amazing assists and drives from Tom. Solid goaliework from Sam. Super teamwork, great determination, hardly any odd passes through the middle and great drives on the flanks.

Also, a lot to learn as not all our opponents were as polite as they could have been and as we get older we will get more bruised and battered. That is all part of hockey and we need to learn to stand above it and play our own game and not comment!

Next weekend 2 EG teams will visit us and we will have another great hockey Sunday.
