This coming Sunday (11th December) the weather is forecast to be much warmer so we hope the ‘jingle bells’ Christmas tournament will go ahead. Please note the games will happen at slightly different times to the normal training sessions.

This Sunday we will have a ‘Lewes only’ tournament with the theme of Jingle Bells. Fancy dress is encouraged. Jingly bells are a necessity and at least one person is coming in a reindeer outfit which will be amazing.

It will be just the children playing Under 6’s, Under 8’, Under 10’s and Under 12’s. No-one else. Anyone 12 and over will be able to umpire / help / move things about / cheer on the teams etc.

Here are the timings:

Under 6’s and Under 8’s : 9.30am to 10.45am playing matches against each other on two quarter size pitches. 7-a-side or 8-a-side.

Under 10’s: 9.30am to 10.45am playing matches against each other on two quarter size pitches. 5-a-side or 6-a-side.

Under 12’s: 10.45am to 12 noon: playing matches against each other 7-a-side on two half pitches.

Rules

No Goal Keepers.
No short corners. (long corner played instead).
Children should play in the oldest age group they train with.
Teams will be mixed gender

Please ensure your child is at the pitch either at 9.30am sharp or 10.45am sharp as this is when teams will be chosen/allocated. Late attendees will have to wait until a full new team is created to play and may miss out on match time.
