UNDER 8s make a mark for the future!!

We just wanted to highlight to you all how successful our Under 8 Mini Matches were yesterday. Ably led by Kate Brown who organised us brilliantly, invited teams from Burgess Hill, Eastbourne, East Grinstead and Horsham were made to feel very welcome.

We saw some lovely hockey played by some seriously small and competent young players in a fabulous atmosphere with fun at its heart. A great showcase for our club and Lewes Juniors - with more than 75 young players and over 100 parents on and around our pitch in beaming sunshine, it was truly a fabulous afternoon. Well done also goes to our Lewes 1s who scored many goals, topping the group.

A special thank you also goes to our U16 umpires who gave their time: George Ackerley, JC Neethling-Taylor, Tom Ludnow and from Eastbourne HC Harrison & Charlotte - you did a great job!!
