We are now in the 2026 off-season enjoying the summer, but . . . Lions U16 Training will be back on a Thursday evening from 3rd September 2026, running from 6:00 to 7:15pm. All new players are welcome whatever their experience with games each Saturday in the Sussex Development League.

For those keen on Summer Hockey there's more coaching and game time available at Lewes HC for our younger players this summer than ever before. Please watch news notes and whatsapp groups, but to summaries:
Evening mixed junior drop-in at 6 to 7.15pm each Tuesday through the summer term (for U14s and U12s ranges)
For the more experienced U14 and older player there's also Monday Night Hockey (7.25 to 9pm) and Saturday Summer 6s (11.15 to 12.30)

We are a very inclusive group of hockey players and have had some great success and enjoyment - young or old, across all our leagues. Please come down on a Thursday evening and check in at Southdown Club reception.

As well as our Saturday Lions we are now playing in the England Hockey Tier 2 Boys U16 league - a little more travel to the likes of Woking, Epsom, Reigate, Guildford and Marsden Russetts, though great experience and chance for those U16 boys who have progressed up our club into Mens Hockey to play with their piers. This year we are proud to say our U16 Boys Lost NO games in this group other than on shuffles in their league cup - phenomenal!!

League games on Saturdays are likely to start from 22nd September where we will run one development team in the Sussex Development League, as well as on Sundays in the England Hockey Tier 2 Leagues for a competitive U14 & U16 match. Lots of hockey to organise so availability at the ready please - Philip, Liam and Viv will need you!
