A slow pitch and an experienced Crawley side prevented Lewes from playing the passing game they are aiming for. With a clinical finisher up front, Crawley converted two short corners in the first half and Lewes had a goal disallowed. Lewes found solutions to problems at the back during the second half and were more aggressive in their forward play. A well worked move down the right from Tilly Davidson was swept in by Sue Storey to bring the score line back in touch, however Lewes ran out of steam and didn't show enough desire to want to score. Heading in the wrong direction down the league, they have an early home game against second in the league on Saturday to redeem themselves.
