Men's 4s give it away at South Saxons

...by South Saxons on a wet and blustery afternoon. Saxons dominated throughout and only brave defending by Chris Picken and some good saves by goalkeeper Chris Sharpe kept the scoreline down. Saxons opened the scoring from a broken down penalty corner with a powerful flick into the roof of the net. Billy Smart in his first game of the season battled to arrest the midfield from the hosts but Lewes were unable to keep possession and were in part the victims of their own downfall.

The second half was a similar pattern although Saxons only scored their second goal with ten minutes remaining when a cross from the right took a wicked deflection and found its way into the goal.
