The 3's travelled to Blatchington Mill for the last away game of the season. An upbeat and positive pre match preparation focused the Top of the table team on the 'job to do'. A win, of any sort, for the Team in green would seal the league.
The game started with a real tempo, some lovely end to end stuff from both sides.
By good fortune the 3's had the mighty Martin back in the team. A man of very few outspoken opinions and not many goals this season, a freshly groomed George stepped up to hammer home a short corner. The only score of the game. In true diplomatic style, Martin credits the goal that sealed the title to the commitment, work-rate and attendance at training of the whole team.
Brighton had many a chance in the second half, but some outstanding keeping (again) from the talented S,Hughes kept the ball out the goal and a clean sheet.
MOM: Hughes.
DOD: Cooke, Plail. (missed chances)
