On Saturday Lewes Mens 2s in their third game of the season were set to play BBHC Mens 1s. Lewes after two promising previous weeks were looking to pick up their first 3 points in their new league after promotion. The first half saw many promising opportunities for both teams throughout with BBHC capitalising first to take the score to 0-1. Lewes keeping their heads up then pushed forward constantly hoping to bring the game back with Pete Fuller getting a serious shot off on goal just before half time sadly being saved by the keeper. However, out of pure frustration he hit the ball off the rebound with an upright reverse which rocketed into the net. The team were not shocked by this whatsoever already being aware of Pete's skill however Pete himself was utterly amazed as if it was not deliberate. This led the teams into half time at 1-1. Sadly however the second half would not go in Lewes' favour regardless of their momentum from before. Although there were many positives that made them look very strong BBHC took their opportunities leading to two goals during the half on the counter attack. Leaving the game finishing at Lewes 1 BBHC 3.
