Lewes travelled to Southwick on Saturday in much need of some Michael Vaughan-esque bouncebackability and that’s exactly what they provided.

Dominating possession, territory, and goal attempts from the start, the men in green were quickly 1-0 up as Ollie “poacher” Amos finished a well worked corner routine. More first half goals followed from Seb “Chewy” Daniels and “Canadian” Joe Rideout, leaving the visitors three goals to the good at half time.

More Lewes pressure followed after the restart, despite some spirited attacks from the hosts. Before Charlie “New boy” Reynolds put away another corner, and Pete “I ain’t getting on no train” Fuller sublimely finished after some good work from Tom “I ain’t getting on no plane”Clinch, to seal a 5-0 win.
