Lewes men’s 1XI had their second home game in a row which transpired to be their 7th win in a row, further enhancing their position as the top team in the league.
Depleted by work commitments and hindered by the sniffles the Lewes boys started sluggishly. Matt Hickman burst into life and smashed a reverse past the static keeper. Old Willies went down easier than local rivals Brighton in a relegation battle in a bad-tempered affair. Alex Tapping left furious after Chris Spruce took the ball off his stick to score the second goal. Tapping then cut a beautiful angle to feed Mark Best for a beautiful deflected goal. 3-0 Lewes
