6's Season in Numbers ...

**The Last Game ...**

Lewes 6s closed out 2023/24 with an away game to the league leading South Saxons team, who had not lost a game all season.

It was an overcast, hailing and ultimately sunny day out in Hastings. We defended for the majority of the first half, going behind to a P Flick awarded midway through the half. Just before half time, with one of our few attacks Inzi levelled and we went in 1:1. Saxons again had the majority of the play in the second half, but Inzi took two more chances for his hat trick and it looked as though the 6s might pull off a famous win. But in the end the constant pressure told, with Saxons scoring twice, equalizing with 10 minutes to go. A great result nevertheless. A big thanks to all those who made the journey.

**A Season in Numbers ...**

A big thank you to the 38 Players who played for the 6s over the course of this season. Another one where we managed to fulfill all our fixtures, but it was close sometimes, especially at the end.

39 Goals Scored : We scored over double the goals we did last season, the main reason for a much better league position. We also conceded less. Our Goal for 2024/2025; end the season with a positive goal difference.

21 Points : With more goals, came more points. This season was much stronger than last season when we only managed 6 points. We played a lot better as a team, were more consistent and with some new faces and the majority of the same team returning, it was really good to see the individual improvements.

Played 18 | Won 6 | Drawn 3 | Lost 9 : Final league standing 7th out of 10. That's three places higher than last year, onwards and upwards ...

12 Goals : Inzi our top scorer, we always have a chance when he plays.

5-0 Win : Our biggest win of the season against Eastbourne and our ONLY clean sheet in the last 2 years.

4-3 Win : Our favorite score line with wins against Eastbourne, Worthing and Mid Sussex. In each game we were well on top, but managed to let the opposition back in. Great for the neutrals who watched.

1 P Flick : We were awarded our first P Flick in 2 Years and thus had no real idea who should take it, I blame the captain. Anyway, we missed it. Though it didn't affect the overall result.

Reza for his truly "sublime" goal in the 1:1 draw at home to St Francis.
