With reports of "Fantastic fun and team spirit", theirs no doubt our Junior team managers felt our girls and boys across our U10s and U12s roared with pride in their group games and play-offs at the Sussex Ron Easton Festival on Sunday.
This early session festival can be a challenge in getting players ready, though it was worth it and a great opportunity for our Junior players to express some of their hockey skills and experience, mixed in with a vibe of inclusivity and development for some who played a festival for the first time. Well done all who played!!!
U12 Girls:
These Girls had a great time, improving throughout their matches. They only lost one game, their first against Brighton in the group games, and they drew their 2nd place play-off, just missing out in the pressure of Shuffles!! Well done.
U10 Girls:
Our Girls came 3rd in their group - only beaten by the top two (Hawks and EG) who they played early on. Growing as team and scoring some fab goals shows that the core is their to build on. Well done girls who shows a lovely attitude throughout!
U10 Boys:
Losing only one game (against Hawks) was is great result across the afternoon with some great structure, space and support - our 3 S's!! A lovely team performance, well done, particularly with getting the ball out of defence, using wide channels and passing between each other. Beating Brighton in our 3rd place play-off was our best game, with so many great shot opportunities - brilliant.
HAVE FUN - PLAY HOCKEY - ENJOY
