Thursday night Lions training start this Thursday 15th August from 6:15 - 7:30 pm at the Southdown club and continues every Thursday breaking only over Christmas holidays. This training is for all u16 boys who will be playing Lions Hockey during the first half of the season. We will be inviting a number of the older boys to mens training and we will be discussing with you, the coaches and your parents where you would like to be playing this season. In addition to invites to Mens training, once you have turned 14 you are welcome to join in Monday Night Hockey which runs every Monday from 7:30pm as a series of 6 a side games with both the ladies and mens section taking part.

Don't forget shin pads and mouthguard.

I'm pleased to let you know that Ollie Amos will be continuing this year as our u16 Boys coach, in addition Eddie Cassleden will also be supporting Ollie. Both Ollie and Eddie are just 2 years up from playing in the Lions - they have both played for our mens 1s, represented the County and and South of England, have coaching qualifications and are examples of how the Club is keen to provide opportunities for, and further develop our juniors.

I am also delighted to introduce Philip Brown, parent of Toby, who is taking over as Lions Manager this year.

The first league game is 14th September 1030 away at Crowborough.

This year we have commissioned Club socks in Lewes colours - these will be provided free on payment of membership. We will be sending out membership renewals in a couple of weeks.
