A young & spirited Lewes side played Holcombe for the second time in two days on Sunday - this time in the first round of the National Cup. An entertaining and enthralling game saw the hosts come from behind four times to level the scores largely thanks to the skill and pace of local hero James Fuller. Only in the final minutes of the second half did the visitors’ class finally show as Lewes conceded four quick goals on the bounce, but there was still time for Michael Gallo to complete a well earned hat trick.
