U10 boys unbeaten in tournaments all season.

As county champions representing Sussex, Lewes U10s Boys headed to Surbiton for the South Regional tournament on Sunday. They qualified top of their pool, beating Romsey 4-0, South Berkshire 1-0 and drawing with Teddington 0-0. Despite some close chances, their quarter final against Amersham ended 0-0 at full time. No extra time provided, straight to penalty flicks. In the end, Amersham scored their 3 flicks and 1 of ours hit the post and so it wasn’t to be. The boys really did play well, rising to the occasion again. No goals conceded and some consolation in that they had beaten the eventual tournament winners, Guildford, the w/e before 1-0! That concludes a stellar season for the u10s, unbeaten in tournament matches (other than by flicks), Ron Easton and overall Sussex champions, as well winners of the Brighton festival. A lovely bunch of kids, with real talent and a developing flair for the game. Bodes well for the future! Thanks to Parents and especially David Churton and Tom Fewster for coaching and managing the side this season.
