After an epic journey to Hereford, and a few beers on the town, Lewes were up for a good time. As the game began Lewes wanted to test the never before played side. Some excellent skills from Lisa Morrison saw Lewes breakthrough the Hereford defence and bag the first goal of the game from Anna Hilton. Hereford tried to make a come back winning a few short corners against Lewes but these were all defended well by goal keeper Carla Leach. As the second half began Lewes found their form, Marie Spence dominated central midfield and set up Laura Molloy for three epic goals. Lewes attacked well and won a succession of short corners. A ball slipped from Sarah Hall on top D to injector Tara Rogers deflected into the roof of the goal. Lewes were now cruising 5-0 up with ten minutes to go. Laura Molloy wanted her name on the score board one more time and a broken down short corner saw Carly Wise lay off the ball to Sarah Hall who saw an unmarked Molloy waiting on the penalty spot. A first time connection saw her bag her fourth goal and the last of the game. Lewes face Didsbury Grey at The Southdown Club on 22nd February.
