As the balmy (!) summer continues and the World cup comes to an end, thoughts turn to pre-season and hockey, hockey, hockey...

We would like to Welcome Andrew Isaacs to Lewes as the Mens player / coach in charge of 1's and 2's training. Andrew is an experienced goalkeeper and will be playing Saturday matches. Hugo Youngman has switched from ladies to the mens and will take over the coaching of the club session. Lions training will continue as per normal and any players who wish to volunteer their time in supporting this session will be welcomed with open arms.

Ladies will continue on Tuesdays with a later start of 7pm for the lionesses. On the back of a successful season particularly for the 1st XI, our Head Coach will be Dafydd Charles and he will be ably supported by a second coach at all times. Ladies training will be 8 - 9.30pm and this session will be for 1's 2's and club players who wish to progress their hockey and have aspirations of playing higher in the leagues. Alongside this session we are aiming to run a back to hockey/club session for all those players who wish to continue training.

Pre-season dates for your diary.
Tuesday August 14th - ladies pre-season starts. All welcome. 7.30pm

Mixed training/club skills is continuing all through the summer on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:15pm.

Monday Night Hockey - free for members. Every Monday, all year round, 7:45pm to 9:15pm. This is a really good session to sharpen up fitness and skill.

Every Tuesday night, from 7th August, starting at 7pm, on the netball courts at Southdowns, we'll be running a free fitness session.

It'll be a little circuits session, mostly based on animal movements, to try and work on strength and conditioning. And it means you'll be able to skip the warm-up pre-training.

Whether you're a Stag or a Sloth, there'll be something for everyone!

We look forward to seeing as many of you at the above sessions as possible and will confirm times and dates of training sessions in the coming weeks.
