The 2′s kept firing at the 3′s goal, with Heasman and Hulbert both saving short corner drag flicks on the line.

I figured it made sense because at the end of the game, the 3s were pretty pleased, and the 2s looked a bit put out.

It is pretty one sided – but that’s because, as it says at the top, it’s the 3s match report. I thought there’d be a 2s one.

The last two sentences of the match report I think are fair enough.

In all honesty, in hindsight, we were pretty annoyed with ourselves that we didn’t get more out of it, so the only positive we could really take from it was that we gave the 2s a good run for their money. We still deserved to lose, I don’t have an own goal out of a technicality, really, and we gave away a fairly stupid flick, but I think it’s fair to say that the 3s put in a better performance on the day (or just the 2nd half) given that each of our players is supposedly worse than each of the 2s players.

Plus you were the away team, it was a long trip.

In a game where results matter you can’t really get a way with the line “despite the result”.

At the end of the day the 2s turned in one of our worst performances to date, that coupled with 3s possibly putting in one of thier best and you still get the expected result.

This is a pretty one sided match report in all fairness, but we’ll just have to make sure next time we play we turn up properly. And don’t play like greedy fools.

Looking exceptionally solid at the back, either you’re saying Ross and I are stacked or that we were solid as in like a rock, as in stationary.
